Santander Consumer Finance UK (SCUK) is based in Redhill, Surrey and provides motor finance to a network of dealerships throughout the United Kingdom. We are currently looking for a Communications Executive to join our Marketing Department. This role is an integral part of the Communications team responsible for managing SCUK’s internal communications strategy and company Events & hospitality annual plan. The role will require to work closely with the Head of Brand Marketing & Communications and the Executive Committee to ensure all company messaging and internal communications are aligned to the SCUK strategic blueprint and corporate values. Please note this role is a hybrid role with at least 3 days a week in the Redhill office. Remote workers will not be considered. What you’ll be doing: Support the People & Culture team with communicating to all employees and be responsible for the ownership and maintenance of the company intranet page Produce a comprehensive Event Planner for all the centrally organised hospitality and events for the year in line with the budgeted spend Manage the development, production and delivery of internal and external events both from conception to delivery as well as those that are organised by larger event companies Manage the events timeline to ensure that all time scales, budgets, value for money outcomes and expectations are met Support SCUK internal teams and Executive Committee by creating engaging content across a variety of platforms, including both digital and traditional channels Responsible for managing any training of content managers on SharePoint Responsible for sending out regular company newsletters via the automated email platform Work closely with SCF Madrid to ensure all Digital Consumer Bank communications are shared with the business Manage SCUK’s point of sale stock, stock levels and processing orders as required by the business Manage the POS website and support with any troubleshooting or order queries Ensure all activity, including personal data usage, advertising, and communication content and events are compliant from a legal, regulatory and business perspective Report and escalate any identified risks in relation to Santander Consumer risk policies and/or legislative and regulatory guidelines in accordance with the Santander UK group risk framework Adhering to our commitment to Consumer Duty ensuring we put our customers’ needs first and set higher and clearer standards of consumer protection What we’re looking for: Have a minimum of 3 years marketing communications experience Has experience with Event Management Experienced with Adobe Creative Suite Has experience writing creative briefs Displays sound commercial acumen, with experience of being able to quickly understand briefs to develop communication documents for all media platforms Can produce sound working documentation and presentations, including business case proposals, briefs and presentations Has an appreciation of legal, regulatory and compliance issues relating to both product development and the use of customer data and is familiar with the FCA’s principles of business We have a range of benefits available which include: Competitive salary of £38,000 - £43,000 dependent on experience 27 days holiday per annum, plus bank holidays Annual bonus based on personal and company performance £500 flexible benefit allowance Generous pension contributions Employee assistance programme Enhanced family friendly policies Sharesave scheme Gym passes at a reduced rate for 3,000 gyms, leisure centres etc Local retail and high street brands discounts Equal Opportunities At Santander we’re creating a thriving workplace where all colleagues feel they belong and are supported to succeed.
