The Ideal Candidate
* Educated to a degree level in a relevant discipline
* MRICS, with 5+ years PQE
* RICS Registered Valuer, though this is not essential.
* Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
* Comfortable with a high degree of autonomy.
* Commercially astute, lateral thinker and capable of generating new business where appropriate.
* Good interpersonal skills and ability to assimilate and convey complex information to a variety of audiences.
* Ability to manage time effectively and work in an organised and methodical fashion, with high levels of attention to detail.
* Ability to accept responsibility and work on your own initiative.
* Numerate and IT Literate.
* A full UK driving license is essential.
About the Role
This is an exciting opportunity for you, as an experienced Rural Practice Surveyor, to join a dedicated and forward-thinking regional firm, covering the whole suite of Rural Surveying work.
The role is flexible to your experience and interests, but could include:
* Professional instructions for a range of clients including private and corporate owners and rural businesses, with various property holdings including estates; let and in-hand farms; dwellings; commercial premises.
* RICS Red Book valuations for tax and accounts purposes.
* Advice on diversification opportunities for rural property owners and advice on how to exploit opportunities.
* Sale of rural property for new and retained clients.
There is an existing book of work to pick up as soon as you begin, though the ability to generate new business will be welcomed.
