We have an exciting opportunity for an Appliance Officer to join our team at University Hospital Wishaw. To provide a comprehensive administrative service within the department to Orthotists, Consultants, Associate Specialists, Registrars, Junior Doctors, Nurse Specialists and Physiotherapists.

What we'll need you to bring
1. Good basic education.
2. Understanding of a range of work procedures, all of which are non-routine, requiring an intermediate level of theoretical knowledge
3. Expertise knowledge gained through experience of Government Prescription Charges and Exemption Categories.
4. Expertise knowledge gained through experience of the range of administration procedures.
5. Knowledge of Software programmes
6. Understanding of medical terms and knowledge acquired through further experience.
7. Good organisational and communication skills
It would be great if you also have
8. RSA3/SVQ3/NC Secretarial Studies or equivalent
9. Knowledge or experience of a Surgical Appliance/Orthotic
10. Demonstrable experience in an equivalent/relevant position
11. Experience of PMS
12. Proficient IT skills which include a working knowledge of Microsoft office packages
13. Car Driver with a full, valid UK/EU/EEA licence
