SITE ENGINEER – ENVIRONMENT
SEVERN TRENT REGION
What you will be doing:
An opportunity has arisen for a Site Engineer to join the team at Galliford Try within our Environment Business.
Ideally, you will based in or around the Nottinghamshire/Derbyshire area and will have the opportunity to travel across multiple sites/projects in the Region.
You will work on our Severn Trent Water Frameworks within our Environment Business, who are experienced in successfully delivering schemes of varying sizes, predominately to the Water Industry, across both Treatment Waste and Water schemes.
As a Site Engineer, you will provide setting out/engineering control on site.
You will:
1. Coordinate site engineering control and setting out activities and provide information to operatives and subcontractors.
2. Complete diary sheets along with any photographic evidence as required.
3. Undertake material reconciliations.
4. Ensure all surveying equipment is calibrated.
5. Carry out as-built surveys on complete works and drawings.
6. Produce D and D site sketches.
7. Assist in maintaining quality records, ensuring all works undertaken in accordance with Inspection and Test Plans (ITP) and maintaining the as-built records.
8. Assist in basic planning, monitoring and programming.
9. Assist in mentoring junior and graduate engineers as required.
10. Control and minimise waste on site.
11. Identify/assist in introducing new process, techniques and innovations on site.
12. Ensure all company property under your control is taken care of and stored securely when not in use.
13. Participate in creating a knowingly safe working environment.
About You:

14. Ability to read and interpret data and drawings.
15. Confident with Standard setting out techniques and ability to use Level and EDM with knowledge of GPS preferred.
16. Flexible attitude to work.
17. Problem solving skills.
18. ware of individual Health and Safety responsibilities and adheres to company health and safety policy and procedures.
Technical / Professional Qualifications Required:
19. A working knowledge of one functional area through job experience or training.
20. SMSTS.
21. Relevant CSCS card.
22. Likely to have previous relevant business experience or transferable skills gained in other areas.
23. A Level/Higher or Equivalent.
