An exciting opportunity exists to serve our Corps (our Churches) throughout Bedfordshire. This role will provide a wide range of administrative support (including financial) to our Corps, to ensure our mission and ministry is able to function in a safe and compliant manner.
The Corps Administrative Support role will work closely with our Corps in covering Bedford, Dunstable, Eaton Bray, Luton, Leighton Buzzard, and Potton to support our team of Officers engaging in mission and ministry. We are offering a flexible working approach to work location to suit the successful candidate and will accept applications for remote working (the successful candidate must be able to travel across Bedfordshire to support Corps as required).
To be successful in the post you will:
1. Embrace being actively involved in bookkeeping and banking.
2. Create and update risk assessments and essential health and safety elements.
3. Ensure we are updating safeguarding matters.
4. Liaise with our property, HR, and finance teams where appropriate and provide general administrative support.
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:
1. Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams, etc.
2. Experience of administration in team settings and organisations.
3. Excellent level of English, both written and spoken.
4. Ability to prioritise, organise, and manage your diary, along with visits to Corps over a geographical area in Bedfordshire and surrounding areas.
5. Must have access to a car for work.
6. Ability to handle confidential information appropriately.
7. Ability to work on your own initiative.
8. Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in relationships with various people.
