About the Role As a Café Assistant, you’ll play a key role in delivering outstanding service, supporting café operations, and ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for all customers. You'll assist with food and drink preparation, maintain high hygiene standards, and help keep the café running efficiently. This is a hands-on role in a fast-paced, friendly environment. What You'll Do: • Provide a high-quality food and beverage service to all customers. • Prepare and serve food and drinks, ensuring consistency and presentation standards. • Operate the till and handle payments accurately. • Maintain excellent hygiene and health & safety standards in line with regulations. • Keep the café, kitchen, and facilities clean and well-organised. • Support the café team with opening and closing duties and daily operations. What You'll Bring: • Previous barista experience in a café environment is essential. • Experience working in a café, restaurant, or similar hospitality venue is desirable. • Basic food hygiene certification (training can be provided). • A good understanding of health & safety regulations. • Excellent customer service skills and a friendly, positive attitude. • Ability to work under pressure in a busy environment. • Strong teamwork and communication skills with a willingness to learn. • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as needed.
