In the Community Employment Mentor job, you will be:
1. Providing intensive one-to-one mentoring to participants to help them identify and take practical steps to overcome barriers preventing them from taking up identified training and employment.
2. Supporting a caseload of eligible participants moving into sustainable employment, as well as supporting participants to progress while in work.
3. Developing and implementing action plans, addressing barriers to employment, developing employability skills, and securing employment while actively promoting the services of the programme to a wide range of stakeholders.
To be considered for the Community Employment Mentor job, you must have:
1. Previous experience of working in a customer-focused/community environment.
2. Work experience within the employability field.
3. An ability to work under pressure, with good time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines.
4. Strong customer service skills including the ability to communicate effectively and build working relationships.
5. A full driving license and car available for work use due to travelling within the role.
This is a temporary full-time (37 hours per week, Monday to Friday) position reviewed on a monthly basis; however, it has the potential to last for 12 weeks. Due to the current situation, remote working will be in place with some requirements for working in the office in Colwyn Bay. The hourly rate starts from £16.37 per hour plus any accrued holiday time while on the assignment.
