Stadler Rail Service UK Limited (SRS UK) is a subsidiary of Stadler. SRS UK provides a train maintenance service for a growing number of clients in the UK. We are looking to recruit a Sales and Purchase Ledger Assistant to join our Finance team. This role will be based at our Mann Island office in Liverpool City Centre. Reporting to the Senior Management Accountant, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely completion of the purchase ledger process, supporting the month-end procedures, and ensuring that all invoices are uploaded onto the relevant finance systems for payment. Additionally, the successful candidate will accurately raise sales invoices for our customers.
Your duties will include:
1. Managing both the sales and purchase ledger processes in their entirety
2. Collaborating with managers to secure approvals and sign-off for payments
3. Processing invoices using two separate systems
4. Reconciling supplier statements
5. Handling incoming mail
6. Closing accounting periods and generating sales and purchase ledger reports
7. Ensuring the correct application of payment terms
8. Conducting credit control as necessary
9. Processing credit card transactions including VAT treatment
10. Establishing new suppliers and conducting VAT checks
11. Managing intercompany invoicing and quarterly reconciliations
12. Performing monthly bank reconciliations.
