We are currently supporting a prominent public sector organisation in Northern Ireland in their search for a Project Manager - Building Services to join their Building Safety team.
This role is central to ensuring full compliance with statutory and regulatory duties across a wide and varied estate. You'll contribute to vital programmes involving heating systems, electrical safety, smoke/carbon monoxide detection, and lifting equipment in both residential and office settings.
The Role
As Project Manager within the Building Services function, you'll work closely with internal teams and external contractors to deliver high-quality, safe and efficient mechanical and electrical servicing and maintenance programmes.
Your core responsibilities will include:
* Supporting statutory compliance in key building safety areas: heating, electrical systems, fire/carbon monoxide detection, and lifting equipment.
* Monitoring and reporting on planned maintenance and compliance KPIs.
* Managing contractors and performance across multiple sites.
* Producing and reviewing Corrective Action Plans and contributing to policy development.
* Assisting with budget forecasts and programme management.
* Providing regular updates to senior leadership and representing the organisation at external meetings or forums.
About You
To be considered for this role, you'll need to demonstrate one of the following:
* A degree (or equivalent Level 6 qualification) in a relevant Building Services (Mechanical/Electrical) discipline + 2 years of experience,
OR
* A BTEC HNC/HND or equivalent + 3 years' relevant experience,
OR
* At least 5 years of directly relevant professional experience.
You must also have:
* Significant, demonstrable expertise in at least one of the following: gas safety (including CP12 compliance), or electrical safety (Fixed Wire Testing & PAT).
* Experience managing contractors and contracts across multiple sites.
* Strong communication, problem-solving, planning and organisational skills.
* A full current UK driving licence or access to transport.
