An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our dynamic Orthopaedic and Musculo-Skeletal Therapy Teams at Royal Bournemouth & Christchurch Hospitals.
We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Physiotherapist to join our teams and you will have experience in both orthopaedic and musculoskeletal physiotherapy.
The post holder will be part of the award winning 7-day service elective orthopaedic team as well as leading dedicated MSK outpatient clinics. Therapy input plays a vital and high-profile role and has been integral to recent service developments. This includes the implementation of specific therapy pathways, enhanced recovery protocols and excellent multidisciplinary teamwork. Ongoing work will provide exciting developmental opportunities.
This position is a permanent position as a Senior Physiotherapist within Orthopaedic and MSK therapy teams.Working patterns will vary but will be across 7 days and include some evening work.
Base Location: Christchurch Hospital

You will be highly organised and have the ability to independently manage a busy clinical caseload. You will be involved in staff supervision and training, quality projects and service development. As the successful applicant you will be forward thinking, flexible in your approach to work and have excellent communication skills. You will flourish in the team environment and have well developed supervision skills. Support of junior staff is an important aspect of this position both in orthopaedic and MSK settings. Experience in orthopaedic therapy and musculoskeletal therapy is highly desirable. You will be well supported by your fellow Physiotherapy colleagues and necessary training will be provided.

There is a planned move for this service anticipated during Winter 2025, when part of thisrole and base of work will relocate to Poole Hospital. Upon relocation of the role/service, excess mileage allowance / reimbursement will not apply, and any travel between the postholder’s home and work base will be classified as a commute. Any other changes unrelated to this, will be handled in line with Trust/National terms and conditions.
