THE OPPORTUNITY
Our Production Engineer role is the perfect career launch pad for engineers looking to apply and build their experience. We provide an accelerated learning journey in manufacturing and chemical engineering. You get responsibility right away and the opportunity to make your mark through exposure to a wide range of processes and technologies.
Because we operate a collaborative, team approach, you'll be surrounded by expert colleagues, always ready to share their expertise and mentorship. Before long, you'll be working on your own ideas - taking process ownership and leading on projects. You'll also join our structured development program: the Engineering Ladder. As your skills grow, you will progress into more responsible, impactful roles.
Production Engineer > Staff Process Engineer > Process Engineer > Senior Engineer > Leadership
Key Responsibilities:
* Conducts and/or participates in engineering projects.
* Monitors day-to-day production results.
* Designs and specifies operation of plant processes.
* Assists in preparing proposals, develops findings, draws conclusions, and makes recommendations. Prepares engineering reports, cost estimates, and process transmittals.
* Contributes to the design of moderately complex engineering projects or handles parts of a major project.
* Contributes ideas for safer, less expensive, or new techniques whether or not the situation is related to a specific project.
* Is responsible for meeting engineering assignments within time and budget constraints.
* Maintains technical skill and knowledge at a state-of-the-art level.
* Works with other engineers and production personnel at other plants, as well as their home location. Contacts or visits other manufacturing facilities as necessary. Has contact with Sales, Marketing, Accounting, administrative functions, suppliers, and professional organizations.
* Reports to the Technical Manager.
* Receives moderate direction and some supervision. Much latitude is given for planning work. Work is occasionally reviewed for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness.
* Provides technical supervision and instructions to process operators. Assists entry-level professionals in procedural as well as technical matters.
* Works on a wider range of troubleshooting problems; uses basic knowledge of the process and creative thinking to solve problems and recommend corrective action.
ABOUT YOU
We're looking for engineers who are keen to learn fast in an environment of excellence. You will need:
* BSc in Chemical Engineering or any related engineering field.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills.
* Working knowledge of basic chemical unit operations.
* Any relevant internships, placements, or work experience are useful but certainly not essential - we can quickly skill you up in chemical processes and production.
