Housing Options is seeking a 12-month fixed-term team member to join our busy service. You will be responsible for promoting joint working between the Council and private landlords and letting agencies. As an innovative, motivated, excellent communicator, you will assist households who have been accepted by the authority as homeless to move into the private rented sector. You will promote a range of incentives to landlords to encourage them to let their properties to potentially homeless/vulnerable households. You are required to provide intensive management where appropriate and negotiate with landlords and tenants to prevent tenancy breakdowns. You will need to be enthusiastic and hardworking, with the ability to organise your own workload and multitask. You will be responsible for liaising both internally and externally with partners. The post requires strong and effective communication skills, computer literacy, and the ability to work within a team or independently while representing Thanet District Council in a professional manner. If you think you have what it takes and are ready for a new challenge, then we would love to hear from you. For any further information about the role or an informal chat please contact Rebecca Gunn Senior Housing Options Officer via rebecca.gunnthanet.gov.uk Interviews TBC Thanet is a great place to live and work.
