About the Role:
To undertake electrical installation and maintain electronic and electrical systems. Responsibilities include:
1. Installing, inspecting, and testing equipment to ensure electrotechnical systems work.
2. Finding and fixing faults in malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components.
3. Assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and fixtures.
4. Training apprentice electricians.
5. Ensuring a high standard of safe working practices is maintained at all times.
6. Connecting wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
7. Inspecting electrical systems, equipment, and components for hazards, defects, and compliance with codes.
8. Advising management on the hazardous operation of equipment.
9. Testing electrical systems and continuity of circuits using testing devices.
10. Liaising with stakeholders and contractors to ensure high-quality service and customer satisfaction.
11. Planning and organizing daily work to complete tasks within allocated time.
12. Carrying out survey reports as required.
13. Maintaining a high standard of customer service for all activities.
14. Attending regular meetings.
15. Complying with the company's Health & Safety policy and related systems of work.
16. Undertaking necessary tasks to achieve project goals.
About You:
Experience:
1. Required - Level three Electrical Qualification
2. Required - Minimum three years' experience working as an electrician
3. Required - Minimum one-year experience of working within the social housing sector
4. Required - 18th Edition Regs.
5. Desirable - 2391 Testing Certificate
6. Desirable - Asbestos awareness
7. Desirable - SolarSkills
