A caring and supportive personal assistant is required for a lively, active 12-year-old boy with autism and learning delay in the Saltash area.
Support is required initially for support in his home setting but will then be for fun, social activities out in the community.
Your support will enable him to explore the local area, enjoy more social opportunities, and establish an engaging routine, particularly during weekends and school holidays.
This is a rewarding opportunity to help a young person grow and achieve greater independence while making a positive impact on their life.
The role is part-time, with support required either after school or at the weekends. Additional hours will be available during school holidays.
The hourly rate is £12.60, plus mileage for visits/outings.
Experience or knowledge of working with young people with SEND is essential. A driving licence and access to your own vehicle is also essential.
The successful applicant will be employed under a private arrangement with the family, and not be employed or carry out work for Cornwall Council.
