Job Description
Product Manager | London | Hybrid | Up to £70,000
Hybrid - 3 days in London - Central
SaaS Product Management background - Preferred!
P&L experience and ability to look at the entire product management process - preferred
If you're looking for a role which will directly contribute to the development potential of millions of people globally, one which will give you ultimate ownership of 'product', which working in an awesome and forward thinking team... please do read on.
Our client operates in the SaaS space, and have done for a really good amount of time.
The products are established, but do need some real evaluation and analysis, and to a degree... overhaul, to ensure future successes. They have multiple global sites, and are operating in an incredibly fast paced and value lead industry with a team of 12 people in product in total.
It's an Agile environment, both from a PM perspective but also just in general... it's very fluid and the business isn't bogged down by historic red tape or processes which hinder creativity. The business is a genuine 'think tank' for efficiency and progress, so it'll suit people with a real 'progressive and challenger mindset'.
You'll be driving and managing strategy within these areas:
* P&L ownership.. you'll be charged with being vision for strategy. You'll be managing roadmaps for either a singular large product or a group of smaller related products in the portfolio
* Product management experience which spans ideation, delivery and day-to-day product maintenance. This role isn't suitable for someone jumping straight from a Product Owner role.. we need experience of the total 'product journey and lifecycle' if possible.
* Working with internal colleagues and customers alike to conceptualise product ideas... working closely with the engineering team to get informed decisions and potential lead times
* Management of insights - you'll have access to researchers to work on specific projects, but the role will certainly require someone able to interpret and analyse insights and data sets to advise on near term and future roadmaps
* Competitor analysis and benchmarking of tech yet to hit the market
* Go To Market - Lead the planning necessary to take products from a 'ready to go-live state' to being launchable and specified for customers... (awareness of interaction with Sales, Marketing, Ops & Finance) and how everything slots in together to become a total product solution (knowledge on training support, marketing campaigns, support models etc)
* You'll know what works from a measurement standpoint, and you'll be comfortable looking at metrics and KPIs needed to ensure measurements of success. Collaboration with Engineering on this front will be key for accurate reporting
* From a workflow point of view it's a balance of Waterfall for some projects and Agile for others, so a balanced framework is most applicable here, it's very free flowing, so the ability to look at projects from a strategic standpoint is essential
As a snapshot, we're looking for someone able to handle the P&L for the process of product concept, delivery and rolling/ongoing product edits to ensure a suite of products of longevity.
A commercial mindset will be very key here, as the business is fast moving, highly competitive and growing at a very strong rate.
Please note, there are multiple product roles being recruited for within this business, at Senior Product and Product Manager levels. If this campaign is of interest and you feel you have the sufficient SaaS PM experience, please do click apply but please do ensure that you've got PM history from within SaaS, as this genuinely will be a fantastic opportunity for a number of product people to move into these awesome roles.
