As the Senior Manager - Reward Strategy, you’ll lead the reward strategy framework for Santander UK, ensuring this is aligned to our values, goals, and objectives, and business strategic workforce plans. You will determine and have accountability for the reward strategy, programmes, and policies for the population.
Reporting directly to the Head of Performance & Reward, you’ll be expected to work closely with the wider HR leadership team, and Strategic People Partners to develop the reward strategy in support of the business agenda, working in partnership with colleagues across the HR centres of excellence.
The difference you’ll make:
1. Leading on the design and framework of the Bank’s Reward Policy & Strategy, ensuring alignment to the values, goals, and objectives of Santander UK, and business strategic workforce plans, ensuring an employee centricity mindset
2. Acting as a pure SME for Reward strategy, co-creating strategy for the future in collaboration with senior management, working closely with HR teams to drive strategies locally with a global mindset aligned to Santander Group
3. Designing and establishing the lead on key initiatives which have a reward impact to ensure that our reward framework supports our business strategy and people deal, critically monitoring policies and practices to recommend new and innovative practices.
4. Driving a community of practice, responsible for being a trainer, coach, and facilitator for the Strategic People Solutions team, sharing technical CoE experiences and skills
What you’ll bring:
5. A strong understanding of Reward technical expertise, and how to analyse and communicate this in a clear and meaningful way
6. Awareness and understanding of the wider business, economic and market environment within a large financial service organisation

8. Customer obsessed to provide a super people experience with strong commercial awareness
9. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, persuades and influences others to achieve prioritised deliverables with a data-driven mindset
10. Ability to present and engage with Senior Executives on recommendations, being curious and adaptable, building collaborative relationships

This role is based in Milton Keynes, and our current expectation is at least days in an office every week.
