The Transpennine Route Upgrade Project is a major infrastructure initiative aimed at enhancing the existing railway route between Manchester and Leeds. This ambitious project is set to be one of the largest rail upgrades in the north of England over the next five years, with an estimated value of circa £2 billion.
Your Key Responsibilities
As a Site Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in delivering civil engineering excellence on the project. Your primary objective will be to promote and implement best practices in engineering and construction, ensuring that all work is carried out to the highest standards of quality and safety.
Key Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will require:
* A degree in a relevant field such as civil engineering or a related discipline;
* Proven experience in site engineering, preferably on large-scale infrastructure projects;
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels;
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks and issues;
* Knowledge of industry-standard software and tools, including CAD and project management systems.
Salary Information
The salary for this role is estimated to be in the range of £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications. Please note that this is a guide only, and the actual salary may vary based on individual circumstances.
