Please note, whilst the main site you will be working from is Filton, there may be occasional business need for you to work at our client’s Yeovil or Glascoed sites. Due to this, you will need to have a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle. For travel to Yeovil and Glascoed, you will be compensated for mileage and provided with hotel accommodation if working more than one shift at these locations. As a security officer you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of security standards to the required levels, going above and beyond to be a positive brand ambassador for Securitas and in ensuring the services you provide are delivered to the highest standards. You will be proactive in the undertaking of standard operating conditions and need to be on hand to respond to a range of security and safety threats or events. In addition, your role as a Security Officer will include: - Prevent and deter unauthorised access to site. - Monitor fire alarms, intruder alarms and CCTV. - Maintain all logbooks and records, ensuring all paperwork is completed in a timely fashion and conduct effective handover procedures. - Securely guard the property, protecting company assets, visiting customers and employees of our client - Remain alert and vigilant to detect and deter any suspicious or threatening activity and retain full control until the authorities arrive - Ensure health and safety procedures are always followed recording and reporting all faults, health, and safety hazards - You will operate radios other physical security equipment used on site - Carry out initial investigations and report both verbally and in writing on incidents, suspicious activities, objects, and vehicles - Ensure health and safety procedures are always followed. - Report instances of property at risk of being lost, stolen, damaged and/or vandalised. - Provide exceptional customer service to clients, visitors, and staff Requirements: Valid SIA Licence Born British Citizen / Must of held a British Passport for min 5 years 5 year checkable work history or be able to produce documentary evidence of any period of unemployment Right to work in the UK Excellent communication skills and a strong customer focus Able to work independently as well as part of a team No current criminal convictions. Punctual and reliable
