An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Learning from Deaths team, where you will help develop innovative systems to embed learning from deaths and support the implementation of relevant quality improvement projects across the organisation.
Main duties of the job
The Clinical Outcomes Improvement Manager (Learning from Deaths) will support the development and delivery of the Trust's Mortality & Learning from Deaths programmes. Responsibilities include:
1. Coordinating projects from planning through to reporting stages.
2. Ensuring active engagement with divisions and working with multidisciplinary teams.
3. Presenting information coherently to relevant internal and external parties.
4. Developing and implementing programmes of work with the Learning from Deaths Lead.
Job responsibilities
1. Report to and support the Mortality and Learning from Deaths Lead.
2. Support the development, implementation, and monitoring of Mortality and Learning from Deaths portfolio.
3. Provide expert guidance for the allocation of SJRs to Reviewers.
4. Develop effective communication networks across multi-professional groups.
5. Attend divisional meetings and report on Mortality and Learning from Deaths programmes.
6. Facilitate Clinical Audits/QIPs focused on local, national, and regional priorities.
Person Specification
* Educated to degree level or equivalent.
* Experience of managing and delivering quality improvement projects within the NHS.
* Experience of leading change and delivering outcomes.
* Demonstrable clinical outcomes & effectiveness skills.
* Analytical skills and experience of data management.
* Thorough understanding of confidentiality related to clinical effectiveness work.
* Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
* Comprehensive knowledge of project principles and techniques.
