We have an exciting opportunity for a committed Support Worker to join our team in Caldicot. In this position, you will deliver exceptional care and support to our young client with complex health needs, prioritizing their comfort, safety, and overall well-being.
Given the personal care requirements, we are looking for a female support worker. The ideal candidate should be able to drive and have access to a vehicle for school drop-offs and pick-ups, as well as for day outings and occasional trips away.
You will have prior experience in care with a solid background in following care plans and protocols, and you will be able to demonstrate confidence in your role, as well as taking a compassionate and caring approach towards your client.
Working Hours:
You will be a part of a team working flexible hours across the week:
Bank hours 09:30am - 17:00, 21:00-8:00 (Waking Nights).
Alternate weekends required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Delivering personalised care and support to clients with complex health conditions.
* Assisting with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation.
* Administering medication and monitoring health conditions.
* Providing emotional support and companionship.
* Maintaining accurate records of care provided and reporting any changes in clients' conditions.
* Collaborating with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure comprehensive care.
Requirements:
* Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in complex care.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility to work the various hours.
* Valid UK driver's license.
