This is the advert for a Band 7 Surgical Specialist Pharmacist role based at Weston General Hospital, within UHBW.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and develop clinical pharmacy services to the Surgical Division including outpatients, front door and other medical wards at Weston General Hospital.
* Liaise with the relevant senior pharmacy, medical and nursing staff to promote safe and effective use of medicines within the Surgical division.
* Provide information and support to the Surgical Division on drug usage and expenditure, and work with senior clinicians in the directorate to maximize clinical effectiveness of medicines used and minimize cost.
* Develop, with senior clinicians in the directorate, a robust medicines-related audit programme.
* Participate in the training of pharmacists, trainee pharmacists, undergraduate pharmacists and other pharmacy and NHS staff.
