DescriptionSupport the provision of an effective and proactive People (HR) advice and guidance service to managers and staff working at MKC Training, assisting with the delivery of all such services including recruitment and selection, onboarding and offboarding, absence management, exit interviews, DBS renewals, organisation of occupational health referrals and yearly health surveillance, production of People data, employee relations, performance management and project support as required.
Video Interviews to take place 28th / 29th November 2024. Main Responsibilities and Duties:
* Provide advice, guidance and interpretation of conditions of service and policies for all managers and staff promoting the consistent application of People policies, practices and procedures across MKC Training.
* Produce management information reports and data to ensure that managers are aware of actions that need to be taken and to enable the People Department to monitor compliance with MKC Training policies in order to support the delivery of an effective People service for the organisation. This will include three yearly DBS renewals.
* Assist the Senior People Business Partner with the management of sickness absence cases, providing data for both Bradford factor and long term sick absences and liaising with relevant Occupational Health support to achieve the swift resolution of individual cases. This will include organising occupational health referrals, annual health surveillances and routine inoculations e.g. flu jabs.
* Assist with the recruitment and advertising process for MKC Training in conjunction with the retained recruitment provider. This will include checking authorisations, supporting with advert copy, and liaising with the retained recruitment partner to ensure interviews are set up. Processing vetting documentation, supporting the on boarding process, including Pinpoint and Cintra HR modules relating to recruitment and staffing establishment, in order to provide a high quality recruitment service. This will include undertaking interviews as required (for recruitment as well as exit interviews) and inducting new joiners to the organisation.
* Support with change management processes, arranging and attending meetings with managers and staff to address contractual issues as required.
* Process all necessary paperwork in relation to maternity, paternity and other types of leave requests, and liaising with managers and staff in relation to these.
* Actively participate in the delivery of the MKC Trainings Organisational Strategy, including the development and completion of objectives, projects, the delivery and promotion of events.
* Support and participate in the delivery of training on People / L&D processes, systems and procedures as required, in order to support both managers and staff in the use of People and L&D facilities.
* Undertake the role of Shared Services Assistant as required in order to cover absences or to assist at times of high demand.
* To provide advice and supervision to new members of the People team as may be required from time to time.
All staff are required to:
* Complete mandatory annual Continuing Professional Development (CPD) in accordance with the number of hours set for their Department.
* Travel between sites as and when required in accordance with their job role.
* Undertake occasional evening and weekend work to meet the needs of the service.
* Comply with and understand all aspects of legislation and College policies and processes relating to safeguarding, including promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
* Form and maintain appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with children and young people.
* Comply with, understand and promote statutory and college best practice in Health & Safety at a level relevant to the role and responsibilities held by the post holder.
