As a Financial Accounts Manager, you will be a key player in ensuring the financial stability and compliance of all entities within the Marlowe Environmental Services Group. Your role will involve overseeing month-end reporting, balance sheet reconciliations, payroll postings, and expense processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines. You will also ensure our financial practices align with statutory requirements, including VAT and CIS reporting, while driving improvements in financial controls and operational efficiencies. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this position offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of three direct reports, contribute to strategic initiatives, collaborate across departments, and support the ongoing growth of our finance function.
Hybrid working - 3x days per week from the office (GL2 2AQ) and 2x days per week from home.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and develop a high-performing finance team.
* Oversee financial reporting, reconciliations, payroll postings, and expenses.
* Ensure VAT and CIS compliance across multiple entities.
* Enhance financial processes and controls for greater efficiency.
* Provide technical financial guidance and collaborate with senior stakeholders.
* Drive process improvements and support key financial projects.
Person Specification:
* ACA or CIMA qualified (or newly qualified) with strong financial reporting and compliance expertise.
* Advanced Excel skills; Sage 200 and CIS knowledge beneficial.
* Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
* Leadership experience with a focus on team development and performance.
* Adaptable and resilient in fast-paced environments.
