Role overview:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join our clients Maintenance team on a full-time permanent basis, based in Hinckley, Leicestershire. This role will work Monday to Friday on a rotation basis between earlies and lates (06.00-1400 and 14.00-22.00)
As a key member of this collaborative team you are responsible for ensuring production equipment remains operational for our manufacturing operation. Working across both our manufacturing sites in Hinckley, you will be responsible for reactive maintenance, Proactive maintenance, projects, and inventory control, from fault finding to resolution within agreed timescales resulting in as little disruption to our operation as possible. Our Maintenance Engineers ensure all maintenance activity is conducted safely and relevant information and reports completed accurately and to high standard
How you will succeed:
Other Key responsibilities of this role include:
Identifying spares required on-site in need of breakdown to reduce downtime.
Taking a proactive approach in driving continuous improvement ideas as well as personal ownership of individual projects and contribution to departmental projects.
Taking responsibility for individual and others health and safety, ensuring health and safety policies are adhered and near miss and hazards are reported when witnessed.
Stock allocation, stock checks and stock management process completed in line with departmental procedures and policy.
What it takes:
Due to the nature of the job you should have a wealth of experience within a similar role working with CNC/PLC/PC controlled machine tool or process control production equipment. A right first time attitude is paramount for success as well the ability to read and interpret technical drawings to include; PLC, electrical, pneumatic and mechanical. Additionally you should be able to demonstrate experience in fault finding on Siemens S7 and/or Mitsubishi PLCs.
You should also;
Be apprentice trained or time served in Multi-skilled maintenance.
Be highly motivated with the ability to problem solve efficiently.
Have good communication skills and be able to communicate effectively to key internal stakeholders
Have excellent time management skills
