Are you social media savvy, keen about copywriting, and considering a career in comms?
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, creative individual to join our communications team as a PR and Communications Assistant Apprentice.
At Two Saints, you’ll build crucial experience and knowledge for your future career by supporting the development of our internal and external communications channels.
Every day at Two Saints, you will be working with the communications team to develop content and engagement on all our channels, including our intranet, newsletter, website, and social media. You’ll get opportunities to copywrite and proof content, help to create and edit digital content, schedule posts, and help develop our content plans. You’ll also assist with designing posters and leaflets, work with other members of staff to co-ordinate content for our channels, and contribute to our reporting by pulling down statistics from our owned channels.
Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will gain an apprenticeship qualification level 4 (equivalent to higher national certificate).
Apprentices must dedicate at least 20% of their working hours to off-the-job training, which translates to a minimum of 6 hours per week. All training is done online, supported by 1-1 workshops once a month with your tutor. You will do your training during apprenticeship hours at our Central Services offices.
We're looking for an apprentice with good verbal and written communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and good team working skills as well as the ability to work on your own initiative. You will also be quick and keen to learn, organised and proactive with a can-do attitude. It is also important that you have a good understanding of and experience with social media, as well as experience adding and managing content in a client management system such as WordPress. Other desirable traits include competency in the use of Microsoft office products, knowledge of Canva, and knowledge of video production and editing.
Working at Two Saints is an exciting opportunity to positively impact your community, and this is a suitable role for a person with an interest and genuine concern for homelessness and related issues.
Your role here in the communications team supports our services to help people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness to feel more valued and secure, and ready to take their next steps.
While the apprenticeship will be largely desk-based, there will be opportunities to visit our other sites to meet staff and clients and to see our services in action.
As well as effecting change through your skills copywriting and creating content, this role will also give you the opportunity to make a difference to our community via your planning and delivering of programmes such as our wellbeing group.
You will be working on creating and delivering messaging for these programmes, sourcing and sharing information as well as designing activities. This role will be pivotal in delivering our progress in these programmes.
