Our innovative, award-winning projects demonstrate our commitment to excellence and professionalism.We now have a few opportunities for a Quantity Surveyor and an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join us on a full time basis, working from our Chesterfield offices.You will assume responsibility for managing all aspects of the contractual and financial side of some of our construction projects.In addition to this, as our Quantity Surveyor you will:Manage all commercial aspects of projects, including budgets, forecasts, and profitabilityDevelop and maintain strong relationships with clients and the supply chainOversee subcontract management, including placing orders and processing paymentsProvide accurate commercial reporting to support project decision-makingEnsure timely and accurate applications and contractual notices in line with requirementsPrepare and agree on interim valuations, final accounts, and contractual variationsConduct contract appraisals and cost-value reconciliations for individual schemesSupport project teams with contract compliance, change management, and financial mattersAssist with contract programming and planningProvide leadership, guidance, and support to the commercial team, promoting professionalism and integrityContribute to sustainability, social value, and health & safety initiativesAssist HR & Training with onboarding and performance management of staffPromote innovation and value across projectsIn order to be successful in this role you must be able to demonstrate:Previous experience within the Construction industry in a similar commercial role.Experience of managing the commercial function on construction contracts - for a senior role with us.A strong understanding of commercial requirements on construction projects.A maintained working knowledge of current main construction contract forms (i.e., NEC 3 & 4 / JCT).An understanding of different methods of measurement e.g., CRAMM, Highways etc.Fully conversant with modern office equipment and Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.Relevant Degree / Higher, Advanced or Foundation qualification.It would be great if you were prepared to work towards a Professional Qualification relevant to your role.A full UK Drivers license.If you feel you have the necessary skills and experience to be successful in this role click on APPLY today!No agencies please.TPBN1_UKTJ
