The Social Media and Content Executive (12 Month FTC) is responsible for creating and optimising content for P&O's organic social channels. This role supports the execution of the content strategy in line with the broader digital and commercial tourism goals, focusing on a consumer first approach and data-driven insights. The role includes managing a content calendar to align with business priorities, ensuring content is channel specific, and working collaboratively with the Senior Brand and Content Manager, creative agency, and production teams. The role will also oversee onboard content, ensuring it is updated across ships' digital screens and POS. The executive will use travel insights and performance data to innovate content strategies that engage audiences. A key aspect of the role is content creation, including capturing shareable moments while traveling across the route network. Staying up to date with trends and competition is vital for keeping P&O's content fresh and relevant across platforms. Key Responsibilities Help lead and manage the P&O social media content strategy and calendar for all owned channels, monitoring performance to inform content decisions and align with business priorities. Work with the team to assist in the production and optimisation of all owned digital content assets for social channels inline with the brand guidelines. Work with the videographer, creative agency and in house designers to brief in content plans for all social content Work alongside the creative agency social content team to ensure content is briefed, scheduled and agreed. Feeding in themes and seasonality trends ensuring the content is relevant for our core audiences and stretched audiences Feedback and approve all social content that is produced by agency and in house design team Assist in maintaining a reporting dashboard to allow for regular reporting to help inform future content, performance optimisation as well as business performance. Collaborate closely with interdepartmental teams to align content activity, driving quality traffic to poferries.com and in line with the customer journey. Be the social media expert and the “go to” person for social content Ensuring all screen content is updated and refreshed across all ships Relevant Experience Experience managing and creating content on social Multi-channel content development Social copywriting Experience using social scheduling & reporting tools such as Sprout Social Excellent written English and copywriting skills Location – We are open to this role being based in Woking or Dover, with the role being Monday – Friday 09:00-17:00.
