Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Controller to oversee our financial operations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of financial reporting, budgeting, and compliance. This role requires strong analytical skills and the ability to work collaboratively with various departments to ensure financial accuracy and integrity.
Responsibilities
1. Prepare and present accurate financial statements in accordance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
2. Develop and manage the annual budget, forecasting future financial performance.
3. Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and standards, including tax obligations.
4. Oversee the month-end closing process, ensuring timely completion of all financial reports.
5. Manage cash flow and working capital to maintain the financial health of the organisation.
6. Supervise and mentor the finance team, providing guidance on best practices in accounting and finance.
7. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy in financial reporting and adherence to internal controls.
8. Collaborate with senior management to develop strategic plans based on financial analysis.
Requirements
1. A degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field is essential; a professional qualification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA) is highly desirable.
2. Proven experience as a Controller or similar role within a corporate environment.
3. Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices, as well as financial regulations.
4. Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.
5. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel; experience with ERP systems is advantageous.
6. Strong leadership abilities with excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality standards.
