Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Patient Systems team where the prime responsibility will be providing customer support to users of multiple systems used throughout the Trust.
The role will require understanding of Trust processes and workflows as it incorporates responsibility for ensuring that system data reference files, system upgrades, general system maintenance is managed effectively and in a timely manner.
The role will be based at Royal Derby Hospital but may involve travel to other locations within the Trust.
Main duties of the job
* Understanding of Trust processes and workflows.
* Ensuring that system data reference files, system upgrades, general system maintenance is managed effectively and in a timely manner.
* Providing excellent IT support and training for users with system changes or for staff new to the Trust.
* Ability to work under pressure and to tight timescales; excellent time management skills are essential.
* Working as part of a team and independently to support the needs of the service.
* Providing 24/7 support; some out of hours work will be required on an on-call basis.

* Sound understanding of the Organisation and its business

* Educated to degree level or demonstrable relevant experience
* Clear knowledge of IT and its role within the Trust
* Advanced knowledge of systems configurations, applications and procedures

* In-depth knowledge of NHS IM&T Security Manual
