JOB TITLE: Event Operations Executive
START DATE: ASAP
JOB TYPE: Full-time (Including weekend work)
SALARY: £24k – 28k (Depending on experience) plus up to 10% annual performance bonus
HOLIDAY: 25 days holiday + bank holidays
BASED: Manchester (travel is involved for events)
TYPE OF WORK: Events/Office-based/Remote working
WORKING HOURS: 42 hrs per week - flexible schedule including weekend and evening events, office days & WFH

Job description
As Event Operations Executive, you will be working directly with our event management team to deliver running events across the UK while coordinating with third-party vendors, organising event elements such as food, drinks, photography, entertainment, and equipment, as well as creating our internal briefing documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Collaborate with the event team to plan and execute events.
* Assist in setting up, managing, and dismantling event sites, ensuring that all elements meet our high standards.
* Interacting with the wider running community to enhance reputation and engagement.
* Active participation in debriefs after events.
* Manage relationships with vendors and suppliers, ensuring timely delivery of services and infrastructure for events.
* Coordinate with vendors to secure necessary equipment, materials, and services.
* Negotiate contracts and monitor performance to ensure that all vendor requirements are met.
* Address and resolve any issues related to vendors or suppliers promptly.
* Create internal briefing documents to be discussed in team meetings.
Person Specification:
* The ideal candidate will have a genuine interest in working in live events, an interest in running/sport and be a fast learner.
* They will be comfortable speaking to people from different backgrounds, building relationships and developing relationships with new and existing vendors and suppliers.
* They will have strong attention to detail to be able to create detailed documentation.
Essential:
* Able to work to strict deadlines and calm under pressure
* Excellent written and spoken communication skills
* Strong time management skills
* Ability to carry out manual tasks
* Desire to learn, develop and advance personal career prospects
* Passion for delivering faultless events with a customer-centric focus
* Willing to work on weekends (Start: 5-6am | Finish: 12pm-2pm) on a rota basis (average of 2 weekends per month)
* Full UK Driving Licence and willing to drive a van
* Keen interest in and knowledge of running and sport
Desirable:
* Experience working live events
* Previous experience driving a van
* Personable and confident in social situations
* Strong organisational and multitasking abilities, with excellent problem-solving and negotiation skills
