Job Description
Headteacher Primary (7/04345)
Amisfield and Collin Primary Partnership
HT03 £66,606
We are seeking to appoint a leader with vision and a passion for learning who will, along with a management team, lead learning at Amisfield and Collin Primary Partnership. This post offers an exciting opportunity to shape educational provision within a new rural school partnership community, which has high aspirations for all.
Amisfield and Collin Primary Schools are situated close to Dumfries and are less than 6 miles apart and are central to the communities that they serve and the Dumfries High School Cluster. The management structure consists of a Headteacher and a full time Principal Teacher in each school. The Headteacher position is non-class committed.
In addition, Collin Primary has a Nursery setting which is managed by a Nursery Manager. An important element of this post is to develop an ethos, culture and values which demonstrate a strong commitment to inclusion and diversity. This will include a focus on improving the educational outcomes for children and young people from gypsy traveller communities within Collin Primary and across our schools.
Both settings enjoy fantastic facilities with outlooks over farmland. Dumfries is the largest town in Dumfries and Galloway with all major services and amenities available. The wider area boasts many local industries including agriculture, forestry, sea related industries and tourism. Good housing is very affordable, and the area is easy to reach by car and public transport.
The schools are supported by passionate and active Parent Councils who are keen to work in partnership with the new Headteacher.
Applicants are strongly encouraged to attend a virtual information session on the schools – details and sign up are here:
A significant relocation package of up to £5000 may be available to the successful candidate (Permanent positions only). Please see attached guidance for further information.
