Responsiveness to new customer enquiries is one of the keys to securing projects as they arise. For this reason the company has created a new role of Internal Sales Engineer to help the sales team shorten lead times on enquiries and to increase their productivity and to drive customer service standards.
The internal sales engineer will be instrumental in triaging new leads, qualifying sales opportunities improving the quality of sales data and allocating leads to the external field-based team for response.
In addition to managing responses to new leads the Internal Sales Engineer will play an active part in developing leads, following up quotes and developing decision maker data for pipeline opportunities through social media channels and through outbound discovery and research calls.
Over and above these sales operational and marketing tasks the Internal Sales Engineer will directly account manage a number of allocated customer accounts.
The role will serve as an interface between the project team, the sales team and the group level marketing function and will report to the Regional Sales Manager who is the Head of UK Sales.
