We are looking for a results-driven and strategic Sales Director to help lead SMEB’s Issuing division. The ideal candidate will have extensive leadership and managerial experience with direct reports, a strong background in fintech and payments, and a proven track record of delivering revenue growth through strategic partnerships and product innovation. This leadership role focuses on Issuing across the B2B ecosystem. Strategic Objectives Define Vision : Develop the strategic roadmap for Issuing aligned with SMEB’s growth objectives. Partnership Development : Identify and cultivate high-value partnerships across technology, finance, and retail sectors. Revenue Targets : Set and achieve ambitious revenue goals through innovative product offerings and market expansion in the UK, Europe and globally. Tactical Execution Sales Planning : Develop and execute sales plans with clear KPIs and milestones, driving product rollouts for Issuing to generate growth. Market Outreach : Prioritise high-impact opportunities in Issuing, Banking as a Service and embedded finance, negotiating mutually beneficial agreements. Team Leadership : Mentor and guide a team of sales professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Operational Excellence Performance Monitoring : Regularly review partnership and sales performance, ensuring objectives are met. Cross-functional Collaboration : Work closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery and execution. Data-Driven Strategy : Utilise analytics to inform decisions and refine strategies for optimal impact. Qualifications and Experience Minimum 7 years in strategic partnerships, business development, or leadership roles within fintech or payments. Strong expertise in card issuing and payments. Proven leadership experience, including managing direct reports and building high-performing teams. Digital first in Issuing, Banking as a Service, embedded finance, wallets, and AI-driven financial tools. Background in cash loading and deposits desirable.
