We are looking to expand our Band 5 nursing team within Gynaecology.
The role will include working in our Early Pregnancy and Gynaecology Unit and supporting our Gynaecology diagnostic lists, which include Hysteroscopy and Colposcopy.

Main duties of the job
* Deliver a high standard of nursing care without direct supervision, based upon a sound evidence base. Undertakes and documents a comprehensive, systematic and accurate nursing assessment of the physical, social and spiritual needs of the patient where appropriate. Creates and utilises opportunities to promote health and well-being of patients in their care.
* Manage a group of patients throughout a shift as delegated by the Lead Nurse.
* Work within the N.M.C Guidelines and Trust Policies recognising one's own abilities and limitations.

Job responsibilities
* Responsible for the assessment, planning implementation and evaluation of nursing care for a specified group of patients as delegated by senior nursing staff, involving patients and carers where appropriate.
* Act as a team leader, delegating appropriate tasks and supervising the standard of care delivered by unqualified staff and learner nurses in the ward team.

Experience and Knowledge
* Undertaken wide experience during training in an acute setting.
* Able to demonstrate clinical knowledge, skills and expertise.
* Demonstrate the use of evidence-based practice in a care setting.
* Demonstrate the awareness and impact of clinical governance.
* Critical analytical skills.
* Knowledge and application of NMC Code of Conduct.
* Evidence of Research or Clinical Audit.
Qualifications & Training
* NMC Registered.
* Nursing Degree/Diploma/Nearing the completion of NMC approved nurse training.
* Post Graduate Qualification / Evidence of Continuous professional development.
* Evidence of teaching/supporting others.

£29,970 to £36,483 a year per annum pro rata.
