The role in a nutshell: Manage the risk framework for the business and ensure the key risks to KINTO are understood and within risk appetite.
A bit about the ‘Risk Department’: The Risk Department assists the business in its evaluation of risk and ensures that the correct methodology and approach is adopted when business activities are considered and undertaken.
What you’ll be doing:
* Developing, maintaining and monitoring the business’s Risk Management Strategy and Framework including Risk Appetite and alignment with KINTO UK’s Mid-Term Business Plan (MTBP).
* Maintaining the Risk Management Policies ensuring they are aligned to Risk Strategy & Shareholder Guidelines.
* Developing and managing Key Risk Indicators on existing and new products & services.
* Contributing to an effective risk and compliance culture at KINTO and delivering training to key stakeholders.
* Assisting the business to identify all risks within the business and escalating where appropriate, including refining risk capture processes and taking responsibility of the Enterprise Risk Register.
* Assisting with the Compliance Monitoring Programme.
* Ensuring that action plans are in place for remediation and mitigation of key risks identified throughout the risk and compliance monitoring processes.
* Reporting to the GC / Management Board any changes to the risk profile and making recommendations in relation to risk management.
* Overseeing and monitoring risk services outsourced to Toyota Financial Services UK.
* Leading the development of credit scorecards and its implementation in new fleet system.
* Supporting risk and compliance related internal and external audits.
* Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
* Leading the operation of the KINTO UK Enterprise Risk Committee (bi-monthly) and ensuring the ongoing effectiveness of escalation from the risk committees.
* Ensuring implementation of Toyota global group risk policies.
* Conducting the annual Risk and Control Self-Assessment.
* Building close working relationships with other risk and compliance departments in Toyota group companies.
* Horizon scanning for internal/market/legal changes that may affect achievement of Mid Term company objectives.
* Working closely with, and responding with agility, to requests (i.e.ad hoc projects) from the GC or CFO.
* Responding to Toyota and KINTO requests for information and reporting.
* Maintaining the company’s portfolio of insurance.
* Assisting the General Counsel in establishing, maintaining and communicating appropriate levels of approval authority with regard to legal and corporate governance matters.

Engaging and developing relationships with stakeholders across the wider Toyota international group to mature and align best practise.
* Recommending improvements that seek to enhance business capability.

Requirements
Key Experience & Skills:
* Experience in working as part of a high performing team to deliver successful risk management outcomes.
* Good experience of risk management frameworks, tools and processes.
* Understanding of the financial services industry and the KINTO leasing market would be an advantage.
* Excellent analytical skills and the ability to effectively communicate (in both written and verbal forms) and engage in debate on complex topics.
* Evidence of influencing outcomes with senior management in both formal (e.g. committee) and informal settings.
* Ability to lead and deliver change within areas of responsibility.
