As a Packaging Graphics Specialist, you will be responsible for the technical stewardship of AstraZeneca’s artwork and graphics standards, providing graphics technical input to projects and initiatives, and developing and maintaining optimum branding for new and existing products. This role is a key part of our Operations team, where you'll have the chance to build a long-term career with global knowledge and opportunities
In this role, you will work collaboratively with external artwork providers, create packaging concept designs, provide technical guidance to AZ Regulatory teams and sites, produce illustrations using Illustrator software, and develop and maintain AstraZeneca’s artwork standards. You will also support or lead graphics/branding related projects that support AZ's Packaging Customisation or Standardisation programmes.
Essential Skills/Experience:
- Professional Packaging Graphics Designer
- In-depth knowledge/experience of Illustrator, In Design and Photoshop.
- In-depth Knowledge/experience of SolidWorks
- Demonstrable understanding of colour and print/web media.
- Demonstrable proof checking.
- A portfolio exhibiting both creative flair and technical competence
- An excellent working knowledge of Pharmaceutical packaging and regulatory constraints on design
Desirable Skills/Experience:
- Global Labelling Business Process
- Proficient Gazelle user.
- Understanding of the Pack Change Business Process (LRF to Packed stock to market) including risk profiles vs stock, customer service and on time implementation.
- Working knowledge of interaction of packing line equipment with artwork components (barcodes, edge marks, free space, varnish free areas, variable data)
- Working knowledge of processes at Print Suppliers (step up and repeat, plate/cylinder making)
