Our client provides domestic and international cross-border e-commerce and mail solutions to businesses worldwide. As an autonomous broker, they handle domestic and international deliveries and European returns across their postal and commercial networks. By working with local home delivery specialists, they also provide the best last-mile experience available.
Due to expansion, they are now looking for a new International Cross-Border E-commerce and Mail Solutions Business Development Manager or Senior Business Development Manager based in the North West, Staffordshire, Cheshire, or West Yorkshire depending on experience, target, and basic salary which can range from £40,000 to £50,000 plus commission and other benefits.
Sales Responsibilities:
1. Identify, research, investigate, and close new accounts throughout the UK & Ireland.
2. Build a pipeline of potential clients, recording details including expected spend levels and any competitor information on the relevant system.
3. Work effectively within the sales team to maximise sales opportunities.
4. Make qualified visits to prospective and existing customers using effective route planning and time management.
5. Manage key accounts effectively and record all contact/information on the relevant system.
6. Provide customers with timely and relevant information about the client's services.
7. Proactively provide customers with accurate information, enabling them to access services at the earliest opportunity with maximum ease.
8. Present a professional image of the company at all times and develop and maintain relationships with prospective and existing customers.
9. Develop and maintain effective relationships with other sales team members, other departments, and management.
10. Ensure all sales procedures are followed at all times.
11. Ensure customer agreements/tariffs are signed before trading begins, and that accurate rates have been communicated to the Finance Department.
12. Ensure all corporate standards are met.
Expertise Required:
1. Minimum GCSE level in English and Maths or equivalent.
2. Proven sales experience and performance in International Cross Border / E-Commerce Solutions.
3. Able to find and close business.
4. Excellent knowledge of sales procedures.
5. Experience of CRM systems.
6. Knowledge of health and safety issues relating to the job.
7. Excellent Microsoft skills: Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
8. Excellent communicator both in person and by telephone.
9. Holder of a clean current driving licence (minimum 1 year).
10. Good geographical knowledge.
11. Self-starter.
12. Result-oriented.

14. Good team worker and able to work on own initiative.
