We are excited to have a vacancy for a SEN KS2 Teacher to join our team at a fantastic, inclusive SEN school in Swindon. Our school educates students with SEMH needs, Autism, ADHD and other additional needs, so we are looking for a SEN KS2 Teacher that has an understanding of special educational needs. Our school is committed to helping students re-engage with their education and re-ignite their excitement and motivation for learning! We want to welcome a dedicated SEN KS2 Teacher to support students as soon as possible!
The school aims to provide children with high standards of education and personalised support tailored to their needs. As a SEN KS2 Teacher, the role involves planning and delivering a varying curriculum to children with additional needs related to speech, communication, cognitive skills, and sensory/physical requirements.
SEN KS2 Teacher Key Responsibilities:
1. Supporting a class of 4-5 students
2. Planning, leading, and teaching classroom activities
3. Monitoring and recording progress both academically and against EHCPs
4. Working closely to keep students engaged, motivated, and inspired by linking their personal interests to the curriculum
5. Collaborating with Teaching Assistants to effectively support pupils
We are looking for a Qualified Teacher who is compassionate, resilient, and committed to helping pupils reach their potential. Communication skills are key; both verbal and written communication will be a significant part of your role.
