Job summary Are you a paramedic, an enhanced nurse, or a pharmacist qualified in minor illness? Leighton Linslade Health Connections is looking to recruit a health care practitioner to join our multi-disciplinary PCN team on a full-time basis to deliver on the day, minor illness clinics. We are looking for a full-time clinician, but we are happy for the role to be shared if you are able to do part-time hours. Clinics run 0900-1700 daily based at the Health Centre in Leighton Buzzard. This is an exciting time to join the PCN as we are starting our new integrated minor illness services for the patients within our PCN population. Main duties of the job The successful candidate will have the following experience, qualifications and skills; BSc in a training programme approved by the College of Paramedics. Degree in nursing or qualified via registered nurse degree apprenticeship. Holds a post graduate qualification at level 7 or above relevant discipline. Masters degree in pharmacy (MPharm) (or equivalent) Qualified in Minor Illness treatment. Non-medical prescribing qualification. Pre-reg MSc in a training programme approved by the College of Paramedics desirable. Able to operate at an advanced level of clinical practice. Minimum two years experience in managing a designated caseload using theoretical and practical experience, completing assessments, planning, implementing interventions, and evaluating outcomes aligned to care plans. A prescriber, however this is not essential. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, and be organised, patient and empathetic. The ability to work confidently and effectively in a varied, and sometimes challenging environment. Full UK driving licence. Personal attributes: Strong and inspirational leadership. Ability to co-ordinate and prioritise workloads able to multi-task as well as be self-disciplined and highly motivated. High degree of personal credibility, emotional intelligence, patience, and flexibility. Confident in facilitating and challenging others.
