Job Summary:
Supervises Poker Dealers to maintain the integrity of assigned games while providing exceptional guest service.
Duties/Responsibilities:
1. Maintains game security and always protects company assets.
2. Engages guests during their play and develops relationships to create customer loyalty and repeat visits.
3. Manages guest disputes, issues or concerns related to the department while maintaining a professional demeanor, balancing the need to protect assets and ensures regulatory compliance with guest satisfaction.
4. Manages staffing levels according to volume of business.
5. Enforces all poker procedures and policies.
6. Prepares necessary shift and other reports.
7. Makes recommendations for policy or operational changes to ensure efficiency and compliance with regulations.
8. Ensures compliance with all regulatory controls both internal and external including but not limited to state and federal labor laws and the Virginia Lottery Board regulations and guidelines.
9. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
1. Must be 21 years of age or older.
2. Two or more years of related experience.
Certifications, Licenses, and/or Registrations:
1. Able to obtain and retain gaming license/registration as required by jurisdiction(s).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of poker procedures, game protection, regulations, and training requirements.
2. Must have strong leadership skills with a clear focus on guest service and Team Member relations as a priority.
3. Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
4. Ability to write simple correspondence.
5. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to staff or customers and other employees of the organization.
6. Must possess excellent customer relations and communication skills.
7. Available to work flexible shifts, weekends, and holidays.
8. Ability to obtain and maintain all necessary licensing.
9. Must have full working knowledge of the BRAVO system.
10. Must have knowledge of Tournaments, structures, and payouts through Bravo.
Physical Requirements:
1. Regularly required to stand for extended periods of time, see, walk, talk, and hear; use hands to, handle, or feel and reach with hands and arms.
2. Must be able to work in a loud, bright, and/or smoky environment.
3. Frequently required to meet deadlines.
4. Must be able to identify colors.
5. Able to interact with others while maintaining a positive and courteous demeanor.
