Job description
The main purpose of the role is to ensure the smooth operation of accounting procedures in a fast-paced busy manufacturing company
Maintaining accurate and up-to-date financial records and transactions.
Assisting in processing payments, invoices, and receivables, ensuring timely and accurate transactions.
Reconciling bank statements and monitoring financial transactions to ensure accuracy and no discrepancies.
Assisting in the preparation of financial statements, reports, and budgets.
Supporting payroll processing by gathering and inputting relevant data.
Performing various administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and managing correspondence related to financial matters.
Responding to enquiries from clients, vendors, and internal staff regarding financial transactions and records.
Updating journals and ledgers, filing financial records and important documentation, and identifying and resolving errors in financial records
Sending and paying invoices, chasing late payments, and reconciling company accounts
Assisting with audits, fact checks, and resolving discrepancies
Tracking expenses and evaluating budgets
Posting financial data to accounts
Any other duties which may be reasonable requested to undertake by the job holder
Qualifications/Experience
AAT Level 2 or equivalent qualification in finance or accounting
Previous experience in a similar role
Previous experience in processing payroll
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships with stakeholders
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work accurately under pressure
Good organisational and time management skills
Proficient in using Microsoft Excel and other finance systems
