About the Team
The Retail Warehouse team within Heritage Services is dedicated to ensuring efficient warehouse operations and supporting retail sales targets. The team manages stock worth over £300,000 in an off-site warehouse, maintains high standards of health and safety, and fosters strong relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth and accurate deliveries. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team that supports some of the most iconic heritage sites in the UK, including the Roman Baths, Victoria Art Gallery, and World Heritage Centre.
About the Role
The Retail Warehouse Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing daily warehouse operations, supervising a small team, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. This role involves managing inventory, conducting audits, and supporting the Retail Floor Manager with staff training and development. The Supervisor also handles stock deliveries using a company vehicle, ensuring accuracy and efficiency. The merchandise you will be handling is for the gift shops at our heritage sites.
Working Pattern: 7:30-15:30 Mon-Fri. Flexibility is essential to meet the demands of the role.
About You
Applicants should have A levels, NVQ Level 3, or specific retail/warehouse logistics qualifications, or equivalent experience, along with a valid driving licence. Proven experience in supervising a warehouse or retail environment, proficiency in warehouse management software, and strong knowledge of health and safety regulations are essential. Experience in conducting inventory audits, driving delivery vehicles, and managing supplier relationships is also required. Strong communication skills and the ability to train and develop staff are crucial for this role.
