Infrastructure Engineer – Civil Engineering - Hertfordshire – Hybrid - £60k car allowance Overview: We are seeking an experienced and proactive ICT Infrastructure Engineer to maintain and support the IT infrastructure while facilitating the transition to cloud services. This role requires strong technical expertise and a collaborative mindset to ensure new technologies align with business objectives and IT governance standards. Role & Responsibilities: Design, deploy, and manage secure, scalable, and efficient cloud environments Implement and optimize cloud infrastructure for cost, performance, and security Develop scripts to automate cloud and server functions Maintain and enhance integrations within the Azure environment Collaborate with IT security teams to ensure cloud privacy and compliance Support and maintain the infrastructure technology stack to ensure optimal performance and availability Configure, administer, install, and maintain server hardware and software Contribute to the development and execution of technology roadmaps Lead and manage projects from inception to completion where required Create and maintain comprehensive technical documentation, including Low-Level Designs (LLDs) Essential Skills & Experience: Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) certification or equivalent experience Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn quickly Excellent verbal and written communication skills Solid understanding of Azure cloud services Advanced knowledge of Entra ID Expertise in Active Directory Proficiency in PowerApps, Dataverse, Logic Apps, and Function Apps Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central Understanding of firewalls, routers, and networking principles Familiarity with Windows Server and Microsoft OS troubleshooting Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Exchange Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 services Package & Benefits: Up to £60k 5k car allowance Generous annual leave, including an extra day off for your birthday Private medical care Pension scheme Life assurance Cycle to Work scheme Extensive training and professional development opportunities
