4 on 4 off Days / Nights (0630/1800 1830/0630)
Salary Range: upto £45k per year depending on experience
Key Accountabilities
* Perform routine and preventative maintenance on all production machinery and equipment.
* Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults in a timely manner to minimise downtime.
* Collaborate with production teams to optimize equipment performance and improve efficiency.
* Carry out installation and commissioning of new machinery and equipment.
* Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, maintaining a safe working environment.
* Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including fault logs and maintenance schedules.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities to enhance equipment reliability.
* Participate in shift handovers, ensuring clear communication of ongoing issues and priorities.
* Provide technical support and training to production staff as needed.
* Respond quickly to breakdowns, ensuring minimal disruption to production.
Skills and Experience Required
* Qualifications: NVQ Level 3 in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
* Experience: Proven experience in a similar role within a food manufacturing or FMCG environment.
* Skills: Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills with the ability to work under pressure.
* Technical Expertise: A balanced skill set in both electrical and mechanical engineering disciplines.
* Flexibility: Willingness to work rotational shifts, including weekends and nights.
* Team Player: Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
* Attention to Detail: A meticulous approach to work, ensuring all tasks are completed to a high standard
