We are looking for a motivated Registered Mental Health Nurse with post-registration experience to work as part of our multidisciplinary team. The position is within our Acute General/Addictions Ward.
As a Mental Health Nurse, your role will include but not be limited to:
1. Assessing and monitoring the needs of patients
2. Collaboratively planning the care needs of the patient
3. Developing positive behavioural support plans with patients
4. Being an active part of the multi-disciplinary team
5. Administering medications
To do this you will need the following:
1. Registered Nurse Qualification (RMN) with a Valid NMC PIN
2. To be a team player
3. To be self-aware, seeking support and advice when required
4. Good listening and rapport building ability
5. To be able to organize and prioritise your time

Percentage of pro rata splits for Welcome bonus based on working hours:
1. 16 hours and below contract – 0%
2. 16.5 – 32.5 hour contract – 50%
3. 33 hour + contract – 100%
Whether you have previous experience working as a Nurse with the NHS, or have mental health experience in a private hospital, we’d love to hear from you. The Priory Hospital Glasgow is Scotland's leading independent Acute Psychiatric Hospital. We have a range of services including General Adult Psychiatry, Addictions, and Eating Disorders.
A good knowledge of the Mental Health Act, risk assessments, and the care plan approach is required. Experience of working within Acute General Psychiatry/Addictions is desirable.
Hours of work will be averaged at 37.5 per week:
Week 1: 4 x shifts
Week 2: 3 x shifts
Week 3: 3 shifts
Week 4: 3 shifts
Shifts will be rotational across days and nights. Day shift hours are 0700-1930 and Night shift 1900-0730.
