We now have a fantastic new opportunity for a talented Claims Handler to join our highly successful Property Claims team, to support the contract manager and achieve high levels of customer and client satisfaction.
We are a successful Property Maintenance & Construction company based in Carlisle and we help people who have suffered losses caused by events such as fire, flood, accidental damage, and storm. Requirements for this job:
1. Excellent communication and customer-service skills (verbal and written).
2. Level 3 qualification or equivalent in insurance, housing, or another relevant discipline and/or relevant extensive experience in a similar related role (minimum 1 year).
3. Strong organisational and relationship skills.
4. Ability to work to deadlines, as well as under high-pressure situations.
5. High standard of written and verbal skills.
6. Ability to work independently and efficiently.
7. Competency with IT, including Microsoft Office.
Your new role - Key Activities & Accountabilities
1. Logging new jobs onto a computerised Customer Records Management (CRM) system.
2. Dealing with incoming calls from customers and clients and logging information onto CRM.
3. Tracking site surveys/start dates and estimates from our in-house team and building contractors, and updating CRM.
4. Contacting clients to obtain variation approvals and logging.
5. Carrying out "introduction" calls to customers.
6. Requesting payment of excesses (as applicable).
7. Chasing repair date schedules, inputting dates onto CRM and other client systems/portals.
8. Keeping homeowners and clients updated with the programme of work/dates etc.
9. Completing satisfaction calls to customers to sign off completed repairs.
10. Chasing contractor invoices and completion photos to enable us to process invoicing.
11. Conducting close and effective communication with clients, 3rd parties, office and field teams, and all other colleagues.
12. Fostering a culture of excellent customer service and continuous improvement.
13. Ensuring compliance with the company Health & Safety Policy and other company policies & procedures.
14. Helping with maintaining H&S documentation.
