The Royal Kent School is a happy and high achieving one form entry primary school in Oxshott, Surrey. We are looking to appoint a committed, skilled caretaker to join our friendly team.
The caretaker plays an important part in the smooth and efficient running of the school. The postholder will be expected to work in a flexible way to meet the needs of the school, combining planned and regular tasks with day-to-day day needs and emergency responses. The role includes carrying out a full range of duties to provide for the security, safety and day-to-day maintenance of the school premises and handyperson activities, working on your own initiative as well as under the direction of the School Business Manager.
You will have some handyman experience in a similar role or can demonstrate a keen interest and capability to carry out maintenance and DIY tasks, plus an awareness of health and safety.
Previous school experience is welcome but not a pre-requisite.
We can offer some flexibility regarding hours and number of weeks worked and would welcome an initial conversation.
We can offer:
• Fantastic children with outstanding behaviour who strive to achieve their best
• A warm positive working environment where everyone is valued and encouraged to succeed
• Friendly and dedicated staff plus committed Governors and PTA
• The opportunity to make a crucial contribution to the life of our Christian school
