An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Housekeeper to join the team in the Emergency Department within West Hertfordshire NHS Teaching Hospitals NHS trust. We have a high patient turnover and promote good patient flow. Our patients can present with many medical conditions and can be any age from 16yrs upwards. We are looking for someone who is highly motivated, enthusiastic, proactive, and who is committed to providing high quality care and delivering excellence to our patients. This is a busy and dynamic area and you will be part of a skilled, motivated hardworking, fun and caring team. You will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. This post is for full time long days (07.15-19:45). IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PLEASE READ Please note - we are unable to obtain a Certificate of Sponsorship (Work Permit) for this role. The post holder will work as an integral part of the Ward Team, under the supervision of a Registered Nurse. You will be responsible for the co-ordination of all patient facilities services within the ward area, to ensure a clean, safe and comfortable environment. The main elements of the role are to ensure the delivery of catering, minor maintenance, and cleaning together with other specified tasks to meet individual patient needs as determined by the Senior Sister/Charge Nurse/Matron. The post holder will be required to work closely with contractors and support service departments. You will monitor quality standards, report deficiencies and take appropriate action.
