The Trustees of Mitton Manor Primary School wish to appoint a Qualified Teaching Assistant (SEN) Grade 5.
The successful candidate will work for 10 hours each week; we anticipate the role to be 11am-1pm daily during term time. This role is to work with a child during unsupervised time and to provide interventions to support their social and emotional needs.
Whilst this role is initially fixed term, there could be scope for this to be extended beyond the end of the contract.
We are looking for someone who:
1. Preferably has a relevant Level 3 qualification
2. Is committed and passionate to giving our learners the best possible start in their education
3. Has experience of working with pupils with social and emotional needs, moderate learning difficulties and requiring support with speech & language
4. Is able to provide consistent routines and boundaries
5. Is resilient, adaptive and reflective in their approach
6. Has knowledge of early reading, writing and maths skills
7. Has knowledge and experience of My Plans/EHCPs
8. Is able to adapt resources and lessons to support individual needs
