At Crownfield Junior, we believe in working as a team for the children that we are responsible for and care for. We believe that our children are at the centre of all we do and we encourage and support them to be the best that they can be. We treat the children as individuals and understand that their needs are unique to them.
We are looking for someone to support a child with needs such as ASD and ADHD. We would like to appoint an enthusiastic, organised person who has experience in supporting students with social and emotional needs, to enable them to fulfil their full potential within our school environment. Previous experience of working with young children, preferably KS2, is essential as is a good standard of Literacy and Numeracy.
The LSA would work under the direction of the Senior Management Team and the SENCo. At all times, the LSA will work within a Year Group and plan alongside them, reporting to the Head of Year on an agreed system of supervision and management.
Safeguarding
Havering Schools are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. The protection of our pupils from abuse is the responsibility of all staff within our schools, superseding any other considerations. Therefore Havering Schools comply with the Department for Education ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ guidance.
This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974; the successful applicant will be expected to undertake an enhanced DBS disclosure check. Having a criminal record will not necessarily debar you from obtaining a position with the School.
